8th Street Corridor Improvements
The City of Naples is in the construction phase of the 8th Street Corridor Improvement Project which extends from 5th Avenue South to 7th Avenue N. The first phase was complete in November 2019.
The Project includes: stormwater drainage improvements, utility infrastructure improvements, safety improvements, enhanced walking and bicycling facilities, streetscape and lighting enhancements, and a signalized and raised intersection at 3rd Avenue South for traffic calming and safety.
The second phase of construction of the section north of Central Avenue is planned to begin in April 2020.
